Take It To The Bank

Quick Transitions Lead to More Play

Sometimes the only thing preventing your class from being more effective is slow transitions. One tried and true way to get the students moving from one activity to the next is a Time Bank.

1. Students have 30 seconds from the moment you say "begin."

2. If they beat the timer, they earn a minute.

3. If they do not, they lose that time from the Time Bank.

4. Keep a Time Bank written on the board to maintain a running total.

5. On Friday, students get this time as free time.
