Recycled Rejuvenation

Recycled Paper Energizes Students

There comes a point when the students start to feel it. No matter how good the book or strategy, they're beat from too much of one thing. You need to transition into the next part of the lesson, but want to do it on a high note. Here's an activity that will galvanize your learners and make good use of all that recycled paper you've accumulated.

1. Divide students into pairs.

2. Give each pair a piece of recycled paper to ball up.

3. Invite each team to throw the paper anywhere into the room.

4. For round one call out two words such as: foot to foot, knee to knee, elbow to elbow, finger to finger.

5. Students must pick up a nearby ball using only the body parts named.

6. Round two uses mixed body parts such as foot to elbow!
