Poison!

Sometimes Danger is the Best Medicine

An important component of education standards are acting, thinking and observation skills.  Here's a way students can develop in these areas.  It can be played in the regular enrichment block, or during the recreation hour.

1. Secretly choose a killer.  Have students close their eyes and stand in a circle. Gently tap one student on the shoulder.  This student is—the killer!

2. When the "killer" scratches the palm of another player, that player is poisoned and must wait five seconds before dying dramatically.

3. Any player may shout "I accuse!" at any time. When this happens, everybody freezes.

4. The accuser points to who they think is the "killer."

5. If that player is the killer, the player hangs their head in shame and the rounds ends.

6. If the accuser is wrong, the accuser dies and the game continues.
