I Present Me
Getting to Know Someone Was Never So Easy
The beginning of the school year is upon us. Many students will be entering the after school program for the first time. Every good teacher knows that an icebreaker is vital to build a proper community out of their new group. Here's a great way to build the self-esteem and presentation skills of your learners.
1. Ask students to introduce themselves to a partner.
2. Invite them to tell their name.
3. Ask students to list what they had for breakfast.
4. Have students tell about their favorite thing to do.
5. Invite each student to introduce their partner to the group by sharing what they've learned.
6. First, they will tell their partner's name.
7. Next, they will tell what their partner had for breakfast.
8. Last, they will tell about their partner's favorite thing to do.
8. Switch rolls. Now the other partner gets introduced to the group.
