Have You Seen This Boy?

Descriptions Turn Strangers Into Best Friends

The easiest way to become familiar with someone is to recognize his or her appearance. Students on the first day of school get bombarded with all kinds of looks and styles. "Missing Person" is an activity that turns all this information into a fun and easy game.

1. Arrange the students in a circle.

2. Have one student step out of the room.

3. While the student is gone, choose one student to hide.

4. Make sure to close the circle so there is no space.

5. Start singing to signal the guesser to return: "There's a missing person, we should report. The missing person could be very tall or short, the missing person could be hiding somewhere in a fort. When you find the missing person, we take you off the court!"

6. The guesser has three chances to say the name of the missing person.
