Daily Tone

Daily Tone

  • Promotes language development
  • Uses a checklist to show progress
  • Provides highlights for the day
  • Can include a goal setting component

The Daily Tone uses four types of language expressions

  • Worthy Wisdom.  Proverbs and sayings collected from around the world. Example: Talk does not cook rice.
  • Real Riddles.  A question with a double or veiled meaning.  Example: What fruit did the ghost like best?  Booberry.
  • Rhyming Riddles.  A riddle with a rhyming answer.  Example: What do you call a little stumble?  A small fall.
  • Verbal Idioms.  Figures of speech that lead with a verb.  Example: Kick the bucket.
