English learners using the LitART Curricula in Pico Rivera, California demonstrated gains in their oral language skills.
An evaluation of the REACH After School Program in the City of Pico Rivera, California reported that students improved their oral language skills by 20 percent during the school year. Language development was measured during oral presentations of "book talks" where students were asked to share about a book they had read.
